IES came to my house for a thorough evaluation. They provided a somewhat scary list of concerns. They answered all my questions and explained the stack effect.
I accepted their recommendation for attic air sealing and insulation plus some code compliance improvements. I declined the crawl space encapsulation. I had previously received an attic insulation quote from a national franchise which did not advise for air sealing. (All the EPA/DOE advice recommends air sealing.) The IES price was reasonable.
On the day, the crew was great. I had an issue after they left and they stood behind their promise. I highly recommend using them.
I first contracted Indoor Environmental Systems to conduct an indoor environmental assessment of our home. They produced a clear, well-illustrated report documenting their findings and proposing solutions. I then contracted them to do mold remediation in the attic, which involved removing existing paneling and insulation, removing/cleaning/encapsulating mold, and sealing/re-insulating the attic. During the process, they discovered existing damage. They notified me of the damage and allowed me the time to have this repaired and scheduled a new time to re-insulate. Throughout the process, they were professional, courteous, extremely thorough, and incredibly easy to work with. They did an outstanding job protecting the home from contamination during the process, cleaned everything afterward, and were always great communicators.
We used IES to replace duct work for the downstairs HVAC, address some mold issues, and close in our crawlspace under the house. The estimate was very detailed which I appreciated, and the customer service was SO helpful. Communication was excellent. I fully understood the job and what would happen prior to the technicians arriving to do the work. The technicians were prompt, professional, efficient, and careful with all items. They cleaned up carefully each day. They did an excellent job.
IES was so knowledgeable, professional & not to mention extremely kind. Everyone there. Lori was our first contact and was very knowledgeable and responsive. Steve performed our initial evaluation, and we were very impressed with his thoroughness. He even took apart our vacuum. Stephanie at the front desk was beyond kind, supportive & helpful as we navigated the remediation process. Each time IES came to our house they provided an impressive, documented write up of issues identified/services rendered. As someone who struggles with chronic environmental illness (mold), it was beyond refreshing to have IES help us. They clearly know what they are doing. 15/10 would use again!!!!

We contacted Indoor Environmental Systems because of air quality concerns in our recently purchased and renovated house. Dan arrived on time, explained the inspection process, then went on to do a detailed inspection of the house, inside and out, top to bottom. He was very calm and courteous, we barely felt his presence. When he completed the inspection, he sat down with us to explain all the findings carefully. As first time home owners, we had a lot of questions; Dan answered them all patiently and comprehensively. A detailed report was later sent via email. We are very grateful for his thorough inspection and professional opinion. Highly recommend 10/10!

IES has really gotten our indoor air quality back to where it needs to be. We have used them for crawlspace encapsulation, attic and crawl air sealing, mold inspection/remediation, and a few other projects. They have a lot of knowledge and extreme attention to detail. We had several problems affecting our indoor air quality and our health. Since having them complete several projects and us working on recommendations for what we needed to do ourselves, our air and health is improving and we feel a lot better. We have used several companies over the years to help with our issues but IES was the one that really got us to where we need to be. The whole team was 100% reliable, professional, and careful to make sure we understood what work would and would not be included in the job. We knew what to expect and when it would happen, they arranged any necessary subcontract work (electrician), and the only surprise was when the price was lowered due to unforeseen circumstances! The house and crawl spaces look (and smell!) great!
